Senior Frontend Engineer

Build intuitive, high-performance user interfaces for intelligence analysts, healthcare professionals, and government administrators. Create data-rich dashboards and interactive visualizations that make complex multi-source data accessible and actionable. Work with modern frameworks to deliver exceptional user experiences in both classified and unclassified environments.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop responsive web applications using React, Next.js, and TypeScript
  • Build complex data visualization and dashboard interfaces for real-time intelligence and healthcare data
  • Implement secure authentication and authorization workflows (SAML, OAuth, CAC/PIV)
  • Collaborate with designers to create intuitive UX for technical and non-technical users
  • Optimize frontend performance for large datasets and real-time updates
  • Write clean, maintainable, and well-tested code following best practices
  • Work with backend engineers to design and consume RESTful and GraphQL APIs

Required Qualifications

  • 5+ years of professional frontend development experience
  • Expert-level proficiency in React, TypeScript, and modern JavaScript (ES6+)
  • Strong experience with state management (Redux, Zustand, or similar)
  • Proficiency with CSS frameworks and design systems (Tailwind, styled-components)
  • Experience building data-intensive applications with charts and visualizations
  • Understanding of web security best practices and OWASP Top 10
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with Next.js, React Server Components, and modern React patterns
  • Knowledge of D3.js, Recharts, or other advanced visualization libraries
  • Familiarity with mapping libraries (Mapbox, Leaflet, OpenLayers)
  • Experience building applications for government or healthcare users
  • Understanding of accessibility standards (WCAG 2.1, Section 508)
  • Contributions to open-source projects or technical blog posts
