QA Engineer - Test Automation

Build and maintain comprehensive test automation frameworks for mission-critical data processing systems. Ensure quality and reliability of platforms processing 5,000-50,000 messages per second for defense and healthcare customers. Develop testing strategies that validate data accuracy, system performance, and security compliance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and implement automated test frameworks for backend data processing systems
  • Develop test suites for API testing, integration testing, and end-to-end workflows
  • Create performance and load testing scenarios for high-throughput systems
  • Build data validation frameworks ensuring accuracy of data transformations
  • Collaborate with developers to define acceptance criteria and test strategies
  • Implement continuous testing in CI/CD pipelines
  • Document test plans, test cases, and quality metrics

Required Qualifications

  • 4+ years of QA engineering experience with focus on test automation
  • Strong programming skills in Python, Java, or JavaScript
  • Experience with test automation frameworks (Pytest, Jest, Selenium, Cypress)
  • Knowledge of API testing tools (Postman, REST Assured, Karate)
  • Understanding of CI/CD pipelines and testing integration (GitLab CI, Jenkins)
  • Experience testing data-intensive applications or ETL pipelines
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with performance testing tools (JMeter, Gatling, Locust)
  • Knowledge of security testing and OWASP testing methodologies
  • Familiarity with healthcare data validation (HL7, FHIR message testing)
  • Experience in regulated industries (defense, healthcare, finance)
  • Understanding of distributed systems testing and chaos engineering
  • Contributions to test automation open-source projects
